Faith, it calls to us to believe, knocking on the doors of our hearts, inviting us to trust and to conceive the unfathomable. As I sit here writing to you today, I find myself asking where my faith lies? Do we truly ever lack faith, or is our faith simply misplaced? Resting in unsure things, unstable beliefs, faulty systems, or flawed humanity?

Our ancient brother Matthew, the apostle shares that the birds of the air neither sow nor reap, yet they never lack. The lilies of the field are arrayed in beauty and glory beyond measure yet they never toil nor spin. Beloved, our Heavenly Father loves His creation so deeply that He provides for the birds. Oh, how much more will He provide for you, for me, for us! O we of little faith?

Where does your faith lie? Is it in the One from whom all things come, or is it in yourself, your situation, your circumstances, or even your own understanding and beliefs?

Prayer

Lord I understand that this is not an indictment, nor a chastisement, but simply an invitation to believe more, to trust deeper, and to place my faith fully in the One who knew me before the world began and predestined me to be a son/daughter in Your glorious kingdom. Where i'm weak be strong and help me in my unbelief that I may stand on the firm foundation that your son, Jesus laid that I may always abide in You and You in me standing on 'True Faith'.  Amen!
