"Intentional Preparation"

There are seasons that feel cold, still, and unproductive. Nothing seems to be moving. Nothing looks like it’s growing. And if you’re honest, it can feel like everything has paused.

But what if the stillness isn’t empty? What if something is happening beneath the surface?

Like a winter field, life often holds unseen preparation. Long before seeds ever break through the soil, there is work being done underground - cultivation, enrichment, quiet forming. What looks barren is actually being prepared. What feels lifeless is holding potential. God works this way.

Before the visible growth, there is hidden development. Before the harvest, there is unseen tending. The cold seasons are not wasted - they are preserving, protecting, and preparing what is to come.

And just like a farmer trusts the process of the ground, we are invited to trust the process of God.

Because one day, what was hidden will rise.What was planted will grow.What was prepared will be revealed. And we will look back and realize - nothing was ever dormant. It was all intentional.

Even now, something is growing. Even now, God is moving. Trust the unseen.

Where in my life does it feel like nothing is happening, but God may be working beneath the surface?

Prayer

Father, thank You for the seasons I don’t understand. When life feels still and nothing seems to be changing, help me trust that You are still working beneath the surface. Teach me to rest in Your process. To believe that what You have planted will grow in its time. Strengthen my faith in the unseen and remind me that no season is wasted in Your hands. Help me trust the hidden work and wait with hope for what is to come.
