"Where He leads Joy Follows" -Joy Butts
Finding home often begins with feeling lost. For years, I was driven—accomplished, capable, and determined to succeed. I checked all the boxes, earned the accolades, and appeared to thrive. But inside, there was a quiet ache. Something was missing. I didn’t know what, but the emptiness whispered that there had to be more—more meaning, more joy, more truth. Despite my ability to encourage others and see the best in them, I struggled to extend that same grace to myself. No matter how much I achieved, I wrestled with questions of worth, belonging, and identity. The more I chased approval in the world around me, the more disconnected I became from my own soul. Then came the losses. One after another, they brought me to my knees—literally. And while I was down there, I prayed. That was the turning point. In surrender, I found direction. In stillness, I began to hear God’s voice—not the one filtered through fear or performance, but the one that speaks with clarity, peace, and power.
That voice began to guide my decisions, transform my work, heal my heart, and give me back my life. A life of true freedom, fulfillment, and presence. The Resting Place is born out of that journey—from burnout to breakthrough, from striving to stillness. It’s a place to pause, breathe, and reconnect with the voice that matters most: God’s. Because I’ve learned that when we follow His lead, joy isn’t just possible—it’s inevitable. If you’ve ever felt lost, weary, or unsure of your next step, you’re in the right place.
God is here, and so are you. That’s no accident. Welcome home.
With love and expectation,
Joy Butts
