In 2009, I landed a dream job and was stepping into a new chapter with my husband by my side. We were dreaming of children. but halfway through my corporate training, my body stopped cooperating. I found myself in an ambulance—alone, in pain, and afraid. A medical emergency revealed fibroids the size of a small unborn child. Suddenly, dreams of motherhood felt threatened.“Will I ever carry a child?” “Has something been stolen from me?” That moment forced a pause I never asked for but needed.
