"Where He leads Joy Follows" -Joy Butts
There are moments in life when everything stops. The plans you made, the routines you trusted, the direction you thought you were headed, all of it suddenly shifts. It could be sickness, loss, or a quiet moment of realization, but somehow the noise fades, and what truly matters rises to the surface.
In those still places, God begins to do His most transforming work. The things that once felt urgent; the deadlines, the schedules, the expectations all lose their grip. And the things we often take for granted; faith, family, peace, and true calling step into the light. This reordering isn’t punishment; it’s mercy. It’s God’s way of bringing our hearts back into alignment with His. He whispers through the silence: “Seek Me first.” Not after the list is complete, not when life slows down, but first. Because when we seek His kingdom and His righteousness before all else, everything else finds its proper place.
Peace replaces striving.
Purpose replaces confusion.
And what once felt heavy begins to feel held.
Maybe God isn’t asking you to do more maybe He’s asking you to reorder. To let go of what’s been stealing your focus and to make space for what truly matters.
With Love and the utmost respect,
Joy Butts
Until Next Week, Enjoy!
🪞 A Moment of Reflection
What priorities have I placed above seeking God?
Take time this week to notice what you reach for when life feels uncertain. Let God show you what deserves to stay and what can be released.
Hope For The Day
“ You are worthy of goodness and mercy."
Scripture reference: “Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.”-Psalm 23:6 BSB
