"Where He leads Joy Follows" -Joy Butts

“When Healing Doesn’t Go As Planned”

Sometimes during times of intense disruption like an unexpected layoff or a complicated surgery we realize that when it is all over and the dust settles that, now the real healing can begin. But just as quickly as relief enters in, it can be interrupted by unwelcome news that can turn your heart inside out as uncertainty sets in.

That’s when what’s hidden in our hearts emerges.  Thats when you’re thankful that you took the time to hide the Word of God in your heart that it may rush loudly to the surface.

“For me during my period of 'Hard Faith' these are some of the scriptures that rushed to the surface of my heart.

You shall be fruitful and multiply.” – Genesis 1:28

“Your children shall be like olive plants around your table.” – Psalm 128:3

“Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.” – Psalm 126:5

What might some of yours be which we can stand on and In faith?

With Grace,

Joy Butts

🪞 A Moment of Reflection

God sometimes leads us to joy through the fog 💭 of uncertainty.

Have you ever seen light break through a season you thought would never end?

What does it look like to hold hope even when outcomes are unclear?

Take a moment and write about it.

Hope For The Day

Even when hope feels fragile, His nearness becomes our healing."

Scripture reference: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”-Psalm 34:18 (NIV)
